River Paint Out - Day 1

Last week was The Great Chattahoochee River Paint Out.

The temperature soared into 95°F, but the weather was beautiful.  I started my plein air session in Island Ford area.  This area of Chattahoochee River is a very popular trout fishing spot.  The river water is very cold and the breeze over the water was nice and cool.

There were beautiful butterflies flying around me all afternoon, it was challenging trying not to step on them while painting.
