Monthly Paint Out

Last Friday was a plein air painting day in Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw.

I had never heard about the place and was pleasantly surprised by a beautifully kept, spacious garden.

The light was magical in the crisp autumn air.

The perennial flower bed was a beautiful subject, but due to my limited time, I had to choose a simpler subject.

Blue shadows on the gravel road, brick structure, and trees with a touch of fall-color inspired me to paint.
